Hello! Welcome to Wheal Oak Groom Room — my name is Laura.

A little bit about me and my business: Wheal Oak Groom Room will be celebrating its 2nd birthday this January! I’ve always been surrounded by dogs, and for the past four years I’ve worked at our family-run doggie daycare, so it’s safe to say I have a real love for all things canine.

I share my life with my own pup, Nelson — a Show Cocker Spaniel x Golden Retriever — and we love nothing more than sandy Sunday beach walks. I also have two cats, Tilly and Rani, who (as any cat owner will know) are the true bosses of the house.

In 2023, I completed my Level 2 and 3 City & Guilds qualifications in dog grooming. Soon after, I built my cosy little salon, located within Wheal Oak Canine Crèche. I’m also certified in Canine First Aid and Canine Body Language, so you can feel confident that your pup is always in safe and knowledgeable hands.

All washes and full grooms are strictly 1–1, meaning your dog receives my full attention throughout their appointment and no crating is ever necessary. If you have two dogs from the same household, there’s a comfy bed under my desk so they can relax together during their visit.

My name is Laura, owner of Wheal Oak Groom Room! I'm a Level 3 City and Guilds Qualified Dog Groomer. I also have 3 years experience as a Manager at Wheal Oak Canine Creche doggie daycare. I continue to work here alongside dog grooming, so it's safe to say I have my fair share of puppy cuddles! I offer 1-1 appointments in a calm & and relaxed environment. Your dogs well-being and safety is my top priority, and I always treat them love, care and treats of course!
